Cancer Treatment Support
Cancer treatment support with complementary therapies designed to support your wellbeing alongside your medical care.
Complementary Therapies During Cancer Treatment
A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. For many people, even hearing the word brings fear and uncertainty. If you or a loved one are going through treatment, you may be looking for ways to feel more supported—both physically and emotionally.
“I had been so anxious about the cancer recurring. After the treatment my body felt better, my mind brighter and I felt the loveliest feeling spreading all over me.”
Support During Cancer Treatment
If you are currently undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy, you may experience a range of physical and emotional challenges.
Our approach focuses on helping you to:
- Feel more relaxed during treatment
- Support your overall wellbeing
- Improve your sense of emotional balance
- Take time out for rest and self-care
A Complementary Approach
Our therapies are designed to be used alongside conventional medical treatment, not as a replacement. We do not advise stopping or changing any treatment recommended by your medical team. Instead, complementary therapies can provide a supportive space to help you cope with what you are experiencing.
“I have recently completed six months of cancer treatment. Throughout that time Lucinda’s kindness and calmness have been the most amazing help to me.
Every reiki session brought me peace, and helped me either prepare for or recover from treatment.
The best thing was that because Lucinda has so much experience with cancer patients, every time I was worried about anything – mostly about managing side effects of chemo – she had seen it before and knew exactly what to say and what to do.
She was always reassuring, but also never pulled any punches so I knew both what I could expect and what I could do about it. Her professionalism is beyond question.
I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. If she can provide such tremendous support in struggles with chemo, I can only feel she could alleviate lesser stresses with ease. She is a natural healer.”

Emotional Support with EFT
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) can help you explore how you are feeling in a safe and supportive way.
EFT focuses on:
- Identifying emotional responses
- Supporting emotional release
- Encouraging a greater sense of balance
You do not need to revisit difficult experiences in detail—EFT works with your current feelings and responses.
Reiki for Relaxation and Wellbeing
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that aims to promote relaxation and a sense of calm.
Many people find that Reiki sessions help them to:
- Feel more at ease
- Reduce stress and tension
- Support emotional wellbeing
Relaxation can play an important role in helping you cope during treatment, and Reiki offers a quiet space for rest and recovery.
Supporting Common Cancer Challenges
Complementary therapies like Reiki and EFT may help you feel more relaxed and better able to cope with these experiences.
Cancer treatment can sometimes bring challenges such as:
- Fatigue

FAQs About Cancer Treatment Support
How can EFT help someone going through cancer treatment?
A cancer diagnosis and the treatment that follows can be overwhelming — physically, emotionally and mentally. EFT Tapping works by gently calming the body's stress response, helping to reduce anxiety, fear and emotional distress. It can also help with physical symptoms such as pain and fatigue, making the whole experience a little more manageable day to day.
Can EFT help with the anxiety and fear of a cancer diagnosis?
Absolutely. Fear and anxiety are completely natural responses to a cancer diagnosis, but they can feel all-consuming. EFT is particularly effective at reducing the intensity of these feelings, helping you to find a sense of calm and control even in the most uncertain of times.
Can EFT help manage pain related to cancer?
Yes. EFT has been shown to help reduce the perception of pain by calming the nervous system and addressing the emotional component that often sits alongside physical pain. Many of my clients have found it a valuable tool for managing pain during and after treatment, alongside their medical care.
Is EFT safe to use alongside chemotherapy or radiotherapy?
Yes, EFT is completely safe to use alongside conventional cancer treatments. It is non-invasive and has no side effects. It is not a replacement for medical treatment, but a gentle and supportive complement to it — helping you to cope better emotionally and physically throughout your journey.
Can EFT help with the emotional impact of cancer, such as grief or shock?
Very much so. The emotional impact of cancer — shock, grief, anger, sadness, and even guilt — can be just as difficult to navigate as the physical side. EFT is a wonderfully effective tool for processing these emotions safely, helping to release what feels stuck and restore a greater sense of peace and acceptance.
Can family members or carers also benefit from EFT?
Absolutely — and this is something I feel strongly about. Caring for a loved one with cancer is incredibly hard, and the emotional toll on family members and carers is often overlooked. EFT can help carers manage their own stress, anxiety and feelings of helplessness, so they are better able to support the person they love.
Do I need to be in active treatment to benefit, or can EFT help after treatment ends?
EFT can be helpful at every stage — whether you have just received a diagnosis, are in the middle of treatment, or have finished and are finding life after cancer difficult to adjust to. Many people find the period after treatment ends particularly challenging emotionally, and EFT can be a powerful support during that time too.
Can EFT help with fatigue caused by cancer treatment?
Fatigue is one of the most common and debilitating side effects of cancer treatment. While EFT does not directly treat the physical causes of fatigue, it can help by reducing the stress and emotional burden that often makes fatigue feel worse. Many clients report feeling lighter and more energised after a session, even when they are going through a difficult time physically.
